Daniel Bromberg was unanimously confirmed as an associate justice of the Sixth District Court of Appeal in San Jose. It was the first Commission on Judicial Appointments hearing chaired by Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero.

"I appreciate Governor Newsom’s continued support in his budget proposal for the critical programs and services provided by the judicial branch to advance access to justice for all Californians," Chief Justice Guerrero said.​

Friday was the first California Supreme Court oral argument session with Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero presiding and Justice Kelli Evans participating in oral argument. 

Brandon L. Henson was appointed as clerk/executive officer of the Fourth District Court of Appeal starting April 1.

The Commission on Judicial Appointments will hold a public hearing on Feb. 14 starting at 2 p.m., which will be livestreamed via the California Courts Newsroom.

Kevin J. Lane served for the past decade as the top administrative official for the Fourth District Court of Appeal, which encompasses seven counties: San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, Inyo, San Bernardino, Santa Ana and Orange County.
