(Subscription required) James O. Morris has been with the court since 2019 as a research attorney and the criminal legal research manager since 2021. Benjamin J. Cassady joined the court from the Placer County District Attorney's Office, where he has handled misdemeanor hearings and trials since 2021.

After a Judicial Council study affirmed that 96 percent of people who participated in remote legal proceedings had positive experiences, the court is allowing remote hearings on most civil matters through January 2026. This allows higher levels of accessibility to people who may have had difficulties attending in-person meetings.
