The Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One (San Diego) has announced its intention to destroy some of its civil records under Rule 10.1028(d) of the California Rules of Court.

On Friday, December 19, a wide range of community leaders gathered at the Napa County Superior Court to recognize Judge Francisca P. Tisher for thirty years of service on the bench and for her ground-breaking achievements as the first woman appointed as a judge in Napa. The ceremony concluded with the naming of the court’s jury assembly room in her honor as the Francisca P. Tisher Jury Assembly Room.

The San Joaquin DUI Court Program began in 2008 and targets all repeat DUI offenders in Stockton. The program includes a treatment track designed for offenders with substance dependence or addiction, focusing on providing substance abuse treatment in conjunction with continuous alcohol monitoring, drug testing, and regular court appearances. Additionally, the program will continue to expand a new monitoring track focused on monitoring and regular court appearances for repeat offenders who are assessed as not having a dependence or addiction problem.

The California Supreme Court on Thursday approved a proposed set of qualification standards for experts involved in developing California’s Bar Exam, but the court modified the proposal to tighten the eligibility requirements for those responsible for question accuracy, content validation, and score setting.
