• February bar exam scores dropped in big states

    Of the 43 states that reported results as of Tuesday, 24 had lower overall pass rates compared with the previous February exam, while 18 states had higher overall pass rates. One state — Oregon — had the same pass rate as last year.

The petition also responds to the Court’s recent request for information regarding the development and reliability of multiple-choice questions.

    Judge Jennifer Thurston of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California said in an 88-page order that evidence presented by ACLU lawyers established “a pattern and practice” at the Border Patrol of violating people’s constitutional rights when detaining people without reasonable suspicion, and then violating federal law by executing warrantless arrests without determining flight risk.

  • State Bar May Delay Release of February Exam Results
