The ABA Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award, established in 1991, honors outstanding women lawyers who have achieved professional excellence in their area of specialty and have paved the way for others. It is sponsored by the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession.

Isaac Farhadian's efforts to engage students in civics in-person and virtually at his former high school earned him a 2021 Champion of Civics award, co-sponsored by Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond. 

Judge Carol Brosnahan, of the Superior Court of Alameda County, is the recipient of the 2019 Aranda Access to Justice Award. She was honored on Nov. 14, 2019, in a presentation that was live-streamed during the Judicial Council meeting.
