(Subscription required) After several years of disappointing state budgets, the judicial branch in California got some good news on Wednesday. Total funding for the judiciary is set to grow to $4.2 billion in the 2018-19 budget unveiled by Gov. Jerry Brown, an increase from the $3.6 billion in the budget Brown signed last year.
