Following are this year's highlights of the judicial branch actions, initiatives, and achievements that helped to improve access to justice for the people of California. 

Under the leadership of the Chief Justice and in accordance with the California Constitution, the Judicial Council is responsible for ensuring the consistent, independent, impartial, and accessible administration of justice.

In 2025, the Judicial Council of California named three recipients of its Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes people and organizations for their extraordinary leadership and contributions to the administration of justice in California.<

California's judicial branch uses research, statistics, and analytics to enhance data-informed decisionmaking and increase transparency and accountability to the public.
