• Judge Kelli Evans as an associate justice of the California Supreme Court.

The Commission on Judicial Appointments will hold a public hearing on Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. in the Supreme Court Courtroom to consider the nomination of Justice Patricia Guerrero as Chief Justice of California.
