Supreme Court to Host Second Oral Argument Session in June

The Supreme Court will hold an oral argument session on June 27, with all justices and counsel participating remotely.

The California Supreme Court today announced it will hold an oral argument session on June 27, with all justices and counsel participating remotely.

Two cases will be heard beginning at 10 a.mCamacho (Ciro) v. Superior Court of Merced County, which previously had been scheduled for argument on June 6 in San Diego, but will be called and continued to June 27; and Pico Neighborhood Association et al. v. City of Santa Monica, which has not been previously set. 

The public will have access to oral argument via live-streaming on the Supreme Court website and the California Courts Newsroom.

The California Supreme Court will also hold a special oral argument session June 6 in San Diego. The special session will be attended by students from local high schools, including a school serving unhoused youth. Other attendees will include students aspiring to be the first in their families to earn a college degree and participants in a high school law academy that draws from San Diego’s diverse communities.
