This Norwalk high school is really good at civic education – says the state’s chief judge

In a jam-packed school gymnasium, Norwalk High School was honored with the 2026 California Civic Learning Award of Excellence on Tuesday, Sept. 15, courtesy of the state’s chief justice. The award recognizes the school’s commitment to student engagement and civic learning, and is one of the state’s highest honors for civic education, officials said.
