Chief Justice Issues Order Implementing Temporary Court Emergency Measures

Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye on Monday issued an order implementing the temporary emergency measures approved unanimously by the Judicial Council of California during its emergency meeting.

California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye on Monday issued an order implementing the temporary emergency measures approved by a unanimous vote of the Judicial Council during its emergency meeting.

The order also clarifies the Chief Justice's March 23 order suspending jury trials for 60 days. The new order clarifies that the 60-day continuance of jury trials is to be calculated from the original trial date.
