    A person who commits a murder at the age of 15 and is sentenced to 50 years to life in prison is, after 15 years of incarceration, entitled to a resentencing hearing, Div. Four of the Court of Appeal for this district declared on Friday, rejecting contrary reasoning in an April 8 majority opinion by this district’s Div. Seven.

    A Yolo County man’s 76 convictions and 378-year sentence for years of sexual assaults have been overturned by a judge, who said there was strong evidence that the man’s accuser, his adopted daughter, had fabricated the charges to punish him and improve her prospects of remaining in the United States.

    In the case, the Fifth District Court of Appeal, in a published opinion, validated California’s lawsuit against a bakery for violating the State’s Unruh Civil Rights Act. The alleged violation was a bakery’s refusal to sell a predesigned cake because it was intended for use at the customers’ same-sex wedding reception.
