Retired Presiding Justice Schauer Dies

Richard Schauer—who was presiding judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court at the time of its centennial in 1980, served as the first Court of Appeal presiding justice of this district’s Div. Seven, and became the “voice” of judges in major controversies—died yesterday, at the age of 87.

Collaborative Courts to hold graduation ceremony

More than 300 individuals are graduating from one of the San Joaquin Superior Court’s Collaborative Courts programs. At 4 p.m. Thursday, many of them will walk at the annual commencement ceremony at Stockton’s historical Bob Hope Theater, 242 E. Main St.
