The Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One (San Diego) has announced its intention to destroy criminal, juvenile, and civil records under Rule 10.10289(d) of the California Rule of Court.
All criminal and juvenile cases (excluding those with published opinions) are preserved for at least 20 years. All civil cases (excluding those with published opinions) are preserved for at least 10 years.

Anyone who knows of a reason any of the records listed should be retained, whether for historical or other reasons, should notify Kevin J. Lane, Clerk/Executive Officer. The reasons for retention should be sent in writing, by Tuesday, January 23, 2019 and should be addressed to:
