As California high school graduates from the class of 2017 continue on to higher education or careers, many bring with them a solid foundation of civic leadership and community engagement. This summer we celebrate the achievements of three students, one from a Civic Learning Award winning school and two who serve on youth courts in Alameda and Humboldt Counties. Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye co-sponsors the Civic Learning Award, and it is part of her Civic Learning Initiative.
