Committee tries to add more judges

(Subscription required) The California Senate Judiciary Committee passed a bill on Tuesday that would allow the courts to convert up to 10 subordinate juridical office positions to judgeships during the 2017-18 fiscal year, provided the new judges are assigned to family law or juvenile court.
