Courts Mourn the Passing of Justice Richard Mosk

LOS ANGELES—Associate Justice Richard M. Mosk passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Justice Mosk was the son of Supreme Court of California Associate Justice Stanley Mosk, and had just retired from the Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division Five in March. He was 76.

LOS ANGELES—Associate Justice Richard M. Mosk of the Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division Five (Los Angeles), will retire on March 31, 2016, after nearly 15 years on the bench. In his March 18, 2016 letter to Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr., announcing his intent to retire, Associate Justice Mosk wrote, “It has been an honor and a privilege for me to serve as a Justice of this Court.”
